Our range of tubular extraction arms are ideal for tough working environments and industrial processes such as welding and grinding.
Auto Extract Systems' range of tubular extraction arms is ideal for tough working environments and industrial processes such as welding and grinding. The tubular extraction arm offers great positional stability, even when fully extended and features a 360o swivel function. They can be specified in lengths between 2,000mm to 10,000mm and are available in three different diameters; 125mm, 160mm and 200mm. A smooth internal bore, tubular extraction arms offer lower pressure drops than hose extraction arms and can also be specified with accessories, such as conical metal hoods and with or without switches or lights to aid the worker's vision.
We also offer a choice of telescopic tubular extraction arms, which ideal for the same tough working environments but are better for more compact areas to offer the user the flexibility to extend their reach in a smaller workspace. The telescopic extractions arms are manufactured with a solid blue tubular structure. They are available in either 100mm or 125mm diameter and are 2,000mm in length.
In HSE's HSG WL3: Welding Fume Control guidance, it recommends: "Using a movable fume capture hood on a flexible extraction arm for large to extra-large workpieces."
Tubular extraction arms are a very versatile product and are available in a choice of finishes (depending on the application), diameters, lengths and accessories. They are a very popular product in our range as they provide at-source extraction and remove the pollutant from the workplace before it has the opportunity to dissipate into the workplace.
Tubular extraction arms should be utilised in conjunction with one of our centrifugal fans to vent the captured fumes either directly to the atmosphere or depending on the working process, via a filtration unit.
