Motorised hose reels gently lower the hose for connection to a vehicle with the use of a nozzle via a controller and an electric motor.
Auto Extract Systems' motorised hose reels can be specified with various kinds of exhaust hose, which is wound on to a drum that’s located above the work area, typically in the roof space. Through the use of a controller and an electric motor, the hose is gently lowered for the connection to a vehicle with the use of a nozzle. These are one of our most popular local exhaust ventilation (LEV) systems for the safe removal of vehicle exhaust fumes. Motorised hose reels can be operated with a remote control to raise and lower the hose to the vehicle at the touch of a button.
Motorised hose reels can be interconnected to one another through a singular LEV system to vent vehicle exhaust fumes to the atmosphere. Motorised hose reels are available in 650mm, 850mm and 1250mm wide and can be specified in 75mm, 100mm, 125mm, 150mm and 200mm diameters.
Motorised hose reels are a very diverse product for the vehicle exhaust industry, as they can be retrofitted in virtually any garage set up, they can capture carcinogenic diesel fumes at source and expel them to the atmosphere and dramatically reduce the trip hazard risk of exhaust hose being trailed to vehicle exhausts. In addition, they can be specified in a variety of sizes, even with high-temperature exhaust hose, rated up to 1100oC (for diesel regeneration processes) and be supplemented with a variety of different rubber exhaust nozzles or metal exhaust nozzles, or even a Y-piece splitter for twin exhaust vehicles.
Motorised hose reels should be utilised in conjunction with one of our centrifugal fans to vent the captured exhaust fumes directly to the atmosphere.
